A full year of raids, rallies, and circuit off-road racing across the globe has brought Christine GZ full circle back to Mexico, for the 51st running of the Baja 1000. Last year, Dynamic Racing came in 7th in our class at Baja 1000, and we want to overtake those results – and by “we” I mean our fearless lead driver Christine GZ.
This is the most challenging event on our calendar and with good reason. The Baja is 1000 miles of hell in paradise. An open rally across the Baja California desert with a living breathing course that changes at the command of Mother Nature.
A thousand miles across the face of a desert; sand that feels like powdered sugar, axel snapping rocks, and multi-million year old terrain capable of breaking both machine and spirit. As you read this, we are in Mexico running tests on the UTV and plotting a course for the race. Getting everything dialed in to ensure our best odds for the never ending gamble that is off-road racing.
Dynamic Racing will be entering two classes for the 2018 Baja 1000 – UTV and Sportsman Bike Class. Driving the UTV will be two sets of driver and co-driver. Team Owner Paul Kraus (driver) with Jason Farrell (co-driver), and Christine GZ (driver) with Bryan Hanson (co-driving). Competing in Sportsman bike class will be Dynamic Racing’s rider Javier Perez Potzsch who will be the only racer from Chile in the entire Baja 1000 roster. Bryan Hanson is an American co-driver with miles of experience in off-road racing which will be a valuable asset for Christine’s lead right foot.
The 51st running of the Baja 1000 starts on November 16th -17th. Follow us on social media for news on live links to see the action in real time and photos before, during, and after the race with Christine GZ and crew!
Backing Team Dynamic Racing, as always, will be sponsors: Maglock USA, J.Juan Brakes, Factory UTV, Weddle Racing Gears, Vision Wheels, and Baja Designs.
