Dynamic Racing Takes On the Longest Off-Road Race in America: Vegas to Reno 2018
The Mint 400 debuted with two dune buggies racing across 600 miles of desert from the Mint Casino in Vegas to the Sahara Hotel in Lake Tahoe, California in 1967. That publicity stunt transformed into a legendary off-road racing event, and has created spin-off events during its 50 year lifespan. One of them with its one bragging rights as being the longest off-road race in the United States – The Vegas to Reno Off-Road Race.
Started in 1996, the Vegas to Reno race is one-day racing event that takes place across the Nevada desert between (you guessed it) Las Vegas and Reno, NV. The course is an estimated 550 miles of off-road terrain that parallels the main highway in various spots. Dynamic Racing, fresh off their international run at the Baja Spain last month, are back in the USA to take on this gambler’s gauntlet event in the UTV Turbo class.
The Vegas to Reno is truly a gambler’s idea of an off-road race and Dynamic Racing is gambling on two wheels this year and a UTV Can-am. Riders Brad Nipper, Scott Zimmerman, Javier Perez Potzsch, and Josh Nicotra, will be sporting our racing colors on their #302 motorcycle. Backing them up will be the entire Dynamic Racing crew and our great sponsors.
The race starts Friday August 17th and will carry over until Saturday. If you happen to find yourself communing between Reno and Vegas that weekend be on the lookout for #302 popping wheelies through the dry Nevada sand.
